Carl Quinn is making noise on Northern Ireland’s film scene. Hailing from Ballycastle on the North Antrim Coast, Quinn has a passion for cinematography and bringing stories to life through film, music video, and commercial productions. After studying at Manchester University, Quinn moved to Belfast and combined his love of music with his camera skills to produce quality music videos for local artists. Quinn has continued to work on a range of projects, including RTE Storyland projects Social Influence and Mushrooms, television commercials for Lidl, and Department of Justice Ending the Harm, which is nominated for the Cannes Lion award.

In a year of recognition, projects Carl has shot have won numerous awards, including an RTS Best Documentary for Unquiet Graves. With a flair for creating unique visuals, Carl shoots on his own RED Scarlet but has experience on a range of equipment. Carl prides himself on having a chameleon-like ability to produce styles which reflect a Director’s vision from gritty documentaries to polished, cinematic films. With his editing experience, Carl shoots for the aesthetics of the frame, for the story within each scene, and for the edit. Having worked across Europe and America this year, Carl aims to continue delivering next level cinematography internationally.
